Fun in the Sun

We had such beautiful weather here yesterday, which means pool time! We took Sylvie over to Nana & Papa's for her first dip...a rather chilly dip! Daddy did the teaching, while Mommy stood at the edge, only putting in her big toe. I think Sylvie would've preferred Mom's method...you could hear her shrieking all over the neighborhood, I'm sure! But once she got used to it, she was all smiles. She really liked the water, splashing and playing with Parrish. I did prevent a dunking (although Parrish was ready to give it)...we'll practice that skill when the water's a little warmer.

We've had a gorgeous spring so far...the corn, beans & carrots are coming up, the porch swing is hung and we are loving picnics! Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Go Tigers!

We headed to Auburn this weekend to see how the Tigers are going to look this fall and to give Sylvie her first visit to AU! She had a good time, although seemed a little cranky at the game. It could have been for several reasons: heat, sun, too many people, or simply that she'd rather watch the Tigers beat an actual opponent instead of themselves. Guess we'll never know. She had the most fun at Ferg & JJ's house, playing on the floor and in her new highchair. She is growing up so fast!

Parrish just finished planting our garden. Soon we'll have carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelons, lots of different peppers, corn, beans & a lot of different herbs. My sunflowers are coming up, too! Our azaeleas are in full bloom...most days you'll find us in the yard, loving spring!

First Beach Trip!

What a beautiful weekend we had in Destin! We had a fun time with good friends for Sylvie's first beach trip. She had a great time after a small adjustment period after going to bed Friday night (where the heck am I??). The weather was great and we're looking forward to many more days in Destin this summer.

Sylvie's First Easter

Boy, did we have a great Easter weekend! It is so fun having a child...there are so many activities that we can attend now. Sylvie became a master egg hunter. We hunted eggs at our church on Palm Sunday, then again at Sherrie's farm, and again at the King's on Sunday. We ate ourselves silly and had a such a good time with family and friends. Sylvie took it all in...she is such a good baby and loves attention!

Easter Sunday.

Parrish enjoyed a Holy Week breakfast at our church and found the speaker to be right on. He said we make such a big deal out of Christmas, but made the point that everyone is born, but only Jesus rose from the dead. If you can't get excited at Easter as a Christian, when can you get excited?
