So busy...you'd think I had more children...

**Disclaimer...Blogger is being difficult in posting pictures, so I'll add some later, if I remember.

For some reason with the start of school, which we don't participate in since Sylvie isn't even close to entering kindergarten, we have been so busy this month. I feel like I never sit down, but that's probably because I don't. In an effort to provide entertainment and socialization for the baby and free time for myself, I've booked us into oblivion. The jury's still out on whether or not this is a good idea...I'll let you know if smoke starts coming out of the munchkin's ears.

We started swim lessons last week...boo. Not a fun ten minutes for either of us. I have to bear the endless refrains of "no poooool", "no princess soat (float)", "up please," and "towel!" that occur during the entire lesson. Needless to say, the instructor is a saint. I did ask whether or not we were wasting our time and was assured that something will sink in eventually. We tested this last night, as I was concerned that we'd turned Sylvie off to water for good. She swam like a fish at Papa's pool, so no harm done. She even showed off all her new skills for us. I don't know why I worry so much. So five more weeks and hopefully we'll have a confident swimmer, and I'll get my evenings back.

We also started back to Mother's Day Out, or as I like to call it, Cinderella Tuesdays (since I clean the house top to bottom while the munchkin's at "school"). Last week was pretty bad...she decided that it would be better to stay in the baby room instead of with her friends. I said fine, since I really needed to mop. If she's not crying, mom's not crying. So we decided to give it a little more time, and lo and behold, she stayed in the big kid room all day today without a peep. Remember what I said about worrying?

Another fun appointment on our calendar...Tiny Tots ballet and tumbling! Now I know what you're thinking...and no, I'm not a stage mom. I really thought she'd enjoy it! If she hates it, we'll quit. For now, I think I made the right decision. She loves her ballerina pants (tights) and actually made it through the second class without me in the room. I think she likes the tumbling part best (like Daddy!). Seriously, if you thought puppies were cute, wait until you see a room full of two year olds in ballet shoes, leotards and bows as big as their heads. No comparison. She also came home talking about stinky feet...I think that's in reference to them bending over to stretch and smelling their feet in the process. Gotta lot these teachers...they are so much better than me.

Before I forget, I'm pretty sure I just heard her say, "I want to go to Wal-mart." Maybe we go there a lot? And I also caught her pretending to twirl her hair, my signature move. I really need to watch what I say and do, you think?

Hope you're all well and enjoying the start of school, end of summer and beginning of fall. I'm busy planning Sylvie's SECOND birthday party...can't believe that's almost here. Surreal.

God Bless!
Katie
