Sylvie and I drove up on Monday morning. We spent the afternoon playing with the girls and catching up. Tuesday Carey and I drove into Auburn, BY OURSELVES, to do some shopping and lunch. What a luxury...lunch, Starbucks, uninterrupted conversation, quick errands and peace for about four hours. My parents were only happy to oblige since they'd rather spend time with the little ones than us anyway. We then had the best Mexican food for dinner (seriously, in Dadeville, AL, in an old KFC building. Weird, I know).
Other than two sleepless nights (I simply cannot sleep without Parrish...such a bad handicap), we had a wonderful time. Bailey is such a funny, intelligent girl...I can't wait for Sylvie to do the things she does. Her sense of humor is quite advanced, and she shared and played so well with Sylvie. She learns things easily, so you really only have to tell her once how to do something or what something is. Hilarious. We bought them matching Christmas dresses and can't wait to make more memories with the cousins. We hope they will be best friends!
In the pool (Bailey wanted ice to cool things down and Sylvie just wanted OUT.)
God Bless!
