Life is flashing before my eyes.

I looked up today from the choir loft to discover my child in the balcony with Parrish.  She was attending big church.  When did she get old enough to get to do that?  And she was actually behaving?  What?  Probably follows suit after the inadvertent champagne she sampled (and liked) yesterday at a baby shower (how was I supposed to know it was in the cranberry juice?).

Does anyone else's kid sing "Oh helluva Jesus" instead of "Oh how I love Jesus?"

We were rehearsing for our children's choir program at church where several older children have speaking parts.  She asks, "When I'm a big girl, may I speak in the microphone, please?"  Of course, baby, of course.

While reading the Polar Express and not getting her millions of questions answered to her satisfaction, the child started shaking her head slowly, disdainfully at me while rolling her eyes.  She also likes to put her hand on her hip when she's being extra sassy.

Ok, so I can deal with the swearing and the drinking, but I just don't think I can deal with the disdain for her mother.  Not yet, anyway.

God Bless and please pray for my hell-raisin' toddler,
Katie
