On the road to recovery...

Sylvie had another good day. They are impressed with her condition after her surgery, and at this point, has had no change, which is good! Her bilirubin count is coming down, her glucose level is stable and she didn't have to have any morphine today. We are very hopeful that she will make a quick recovery, and that we will have our hands full with her at home very soon. I can't wait to hold her again, and possibly assist with her feedings. I miss her so much!

I can't tell how much it means for our family to have so much support from family and friends. I can only believe that the prayers that have been prayed has sustained her tiny body. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that we've benefited from over the past week. All I can say is THANK YOU.

We continue our journey with Parrish back in Andalusia working, as I stay at my best friend's house in Birmingham. Please keep him in your thoughts as he works hard each day and drives back here each weekend. I really don't want him eating fast food every night and I did make sure he knows how to work the washing machine...

I'll try to keep photos posted and keep everyone updated each night.

God Bless,
Katie

  3. Katie-
I just found your blog! Congratulations to you and Parrish on beautiful little Sylvie! Vance and I will definitely be keeping the three of you in our prayers. While you're in Birmingham, Vance and I would love to do anything we can to help you out- bring you dinner, take you out to dinner, run errands...whatever! I know it's difficult being away from home, so please let me know if there is anything we can do! Congrats again! Hope to see you and Sylvie soon!
