Thankfully, Sylvie was added to the list on Friday afternoon and received her necessary surgery. We met with the two surgeons, several anesthesiologists, and staff throughout the day and again as they took her to the OR. Everybody knew what was going on with our little girl and they were prepared to take care of her.
Her surgery started around 5:50 and was done by 7:50. They were able to extubate her in the recovery room. When we were allowed back she was the only patient in the huge room of beds! Her pain medication following the intense laproscopic surgery is Tylenol!
She was sleeping peacefully and breathing on her own.
The surgeon's are predicting about a 1 month frustrating recovery in the hospital as we attempt to move foods through the new connection. They also suggested that this may continue for much longer at home.
Thank you for you prayers and we will continue to update everyone about once a day. I'll try to add some photos this evening.
Love,
Parrish and Kate
