A weekend at the lake...

We spent the weekend at my parent's home at Lake Martin, celebrating Nathan's birthday and having a super fun baby shower for Sylvie. It was so good getting to see my "old" friends...I miss them so much! Of course it was over the top, as Anna and Whitney got involved. My sister had great games to play, and the food was fabulous, courtesy of Mom.

Here is Parrish driving the boat we had for the day. He likes to read maps and find obscure, scary creeks to go into.

Bailey enjoyed playing the bongos on my belly. I think she and Sylvie should start a band.

Bailey helped open the presents. I don't know if she liked her tissue paper bath, but I had fun giving to her.
Whitney made me a tiara. You should know that this is not the first time I've worn a tiara at Whit's prompting. Pretty much I'd wear anything on my head that she made. This one even had dental floss and a toothbrush, just for Sylvie's daddy.

I love holding Bailey. She is the funniest baby I've ever known. I think she takes after me. I did discover that it's hard to hold a baby when you're 9 months preggo, so I opted for a lot of sitting down to play.

We really are waiting any day now for Sylvie to make her debut. I have about 4 1/2 weeks until my due date, but everyone is expecting her to be early. Jerks. I'm not quite ready...

We have two beach trips and an Auburn game to go to before she gets here. Why stay home and be comfortable when you could cram your old life into four weeks before it changes forever?
