Never thought I'd say something like that, but I also never thought I'd be spending so much time in a NICU! We had a FABULOUS day full of progress. Sylvie is officially off the bili lights, swaddled and dressed, eating 10 ml of breastmilk every 3 hours. No spit ups at this point, but we REALLY need a dirty diaper to confirm that her surgery was a success. If all of these things fall into place, her doctor will increase her feeds by 5 ml increments until she reaches full feeds. At that point, she can begin breastfeeding again (my ultimate goal). So pray for poop!
Today I got to hold and rock her a lot, change her diaper, take her temperature, feed and burp her (all the things I would be taking for granted if I were at home with her). She has a beautiful smile and loves attention. She wakes up from her nap wide awake, with no crying. I can't believe God has blessed us with such a wonderful child.
Here are some photos from today:

We appreciate everyone's prayers and thoughts. We are feeling very blessed and happy right now, and we remain optimistic and hopeful. Thank you!
God Bless,
